COMMUNITY SERVICE

Volunteers – There are opportunities for teens and adults for volunteer service.  Especially at Christmas time, volunteers are needed for our red kettle campaign and Christmas warehouse distribution, where families come and receive their new toys, food and clothing.  The Salvation Army is grateful to the Anaheim Angels for the use of their stadium for our Christmas distribution warehouse.  Over 5,000 families were served last year so volunteers are needed prior to distribution for set-up, and during the distribution days.  Volunteers are also needed for our Adopt-A-Family effort, and Angel Tree outreach.  We also need volunteers for food, clothing and toy pick-ups. Call the church office for volunteer opportunities, especially around the Christmas season.  Last year 77,000 volunteer hours were recorded.

Disaster Services – The Salvation Army in Orange County is prepared to respond to emergencies requiring a response team.  The Salvation Army in times of disaster delivers emotional and spiritual care, basic first aid and food service.  We have a stand-by canteen always ready for response when needed.  Tustin Ranch has an emergency canteen always stocked and ready to go.  If you are interested in being a volunteer on the Disaster Services team, please call the church office.
