Youth Programs

YOUTH AT THE SALVATION ARMY TUSTIN RANCH CHURCH

 

Henley Center – Centered on Biblical principles, the program includes recreation, homework help, arts, crafts and physical education.  Troop programs are held on Wednesdays, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.  Summer camp programs are held during the summer, either at our camps in the mountains or on the church site.  A new computer lab is coming soon!  1,600 different children are involved in this program.

 

Creator’s Corner Preschool – The school is currently at full capacity and a waiting list is available.  The school provides a high quality program.  It is licensed and all teachers are qualified based on California state standards.  New to the school this year is a hot lunch program.  Coming in the Fall is an 18 month old age group, all day program.  This program will be geared to prepare children for their preschool experience.

 

Teens – An exciting weekly Friday night program for teens, including a variety of fun nights, consisting of game nights, snowboarding trips and Bible study.  This exciting group is led by our Youth Ministry Leader. Supper is included in this fun night and starts at 6:00 PM and ends at 9:00 PM, Grades 6 – 12.

 

Good News Clubs – Tustin Ranch has three groups in Orange County: Lake Forest, Buena Park and South Gate.  The Good News club is an after school Bible Study for children, held in Salvation Army members’ homes.  Crafts related to the Bible stories are usual.  This is an excellent program, where children learn  Bible stories that teach the Good News of Jesus Christ.

 

Sunday School – Start each Sunday in an exciting way by attending Sunday School.  An open assembly begins at 9:00 AM, with skits, drama, music and fun for all.  At 9:00 am, Sunday School Classes are available for children, teens and adults.

 

Junior Church – During the Sunday morning service, children are dismissed for Junior Church.  A dedicated group of teachers takes on the responsibility of teaching biblical principles and stories.  Usually a craft representing the lesson can be taken home by the children as a reminder of the story they learned that Sunday.  This program is for 2nd – 5th graders.

 

Son Club –Son Club is for children who are in Pre-K through 1st grade. The children meet at 10:15 AM just before the Sunday morning service starts at 10:30 AM. The program includes crafts; sing Sunday School songs and learning basic Christian behavior from simple bible stories.  Dedicated children ministry’s church volunteers are the teachers.

 

Moonbeams – Moonbeams is an international, character building program sponsored by The Salvation Army. It includes both boys and girls, ages Pre-K through Kindergarten. Moonbeams meet every Tuesday from 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Sunbeams – Sunbeams is also a Salvation Army character building program that is designed for girls in 1st through 5th grade. Members work through a series of achievement emblems and award levels that help them to develop their unique individuality and potential. Sunbeams meet every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
